3rd Semester (RTVR)
Born on April 9, 1979 in Beirut, Lebanon, the infant later to be known as Sam Aad would never have imagined how much of a rollercoaster ride his life would turn out to be. Moving to Saudi Arabia in 1982 because of the war in Lebanon, Sam began a 27-year ride in the Middle East that culminated in his employment with British American Tobacco for seven years beginning as a marketing rep and ending as the HR Manager for Saudi Arabia. After making an emotional move to Canada in January 2010, Sam began a journey to pursue his innermost dreams that included acting, writing, and announcing.
Currently, Sam is a full-time student in the third semester of the Broadcasting - Radio program in Seneca and he is also a part-time bouncer with West 50 and On The Curve in Mississauga. Sam is an avid traveler and has been to more than 21 countries around the world and enjoys listening to music and meeting new people.
Luke Anderson was born in Toronto, Ontario on the hot summer day of July 16th, 1988. Once graduating high school, Luke followed his passion of theatre, establishing a blossoming acting career and appearing in multiple international commercials as well as participating in musical theatre productions throughout Toronto. After feeling a lack of creative energy, Luke decided to go back to school and explore a new field of entertainment. He is thrilled to be a part of the 2012 class of Radio Broadcasting and wishes all the best to his fellow class mates.
Evan Babins a.k.a DJ ESB has been DJing since he's 15 years old. Playing a variety of Dutch House, Top 40, Mash-ups and Electronic music, he has kept dance-floors packed all across Canada. He has played clubs from Brassaii to Tryst to The Kee To Bala in Muskoka, spinning at events from Toronto to Montreal, Buffalo and more. His style is always very upbeat, always keeping things different depending on where he is playing and the type of event it is. Growing up on the mean streets of Mississauga, I became interested in radio at a very young age. While attending elementary school, I used to wake up early and listen to the morning show on KISS 92. That is when I realized I wanted to get into radio broadcasting. Being a huge sports fan, I played high level baseball and hockey against some of the best players in the NHL (i.e Steven Stamkos) This is where I got my competitive nature. I listen to all types of music and am a huge fan of movies and television shows. After highschool, I attended York University for 3 years and decided to follow my dream and join the joint Radio Broadcasting program at Seneca. In my final year at Seneca, I plan on developing my skills further so that I can one day be an on-air personality in the city of Toronto.
Hey Seneca! So the name is Hilda Boateng also known as Hilly B. I`ve got a great show airing on S@Y Radio every Thursday at 8pm ,so make sure to listen to me live! I`m a third semester student at Seneca, studying radio broadcasting. Before coming to Seneca, I attended Dante Alighieri Academy Catholic School. For years, I`ve enjoyed public speaking. Ever since I was 14, I`ve been a motivational speaker, host and announcer for various workshops, events and shows. Initially, I thought about becoming a lawyer but I really didn`t see myself being buried in books for the rest of my life. Almost everyone in my life told me that they saw me being on television or radio and 2 years later, here I am! I truly love being on air and it is one of the best decisions I`ve ever made...Sorry, I can be cheesy from time to time but it works!

Born in the 2nd last year of the 80's, my childhood was surrounded with love, laughter, and most importantly, music. My father had instilled a heavy amount of 60's pop and rock, as well as 70's prog and heavy metal from an early age. My high school years were mainly spent being awkward around girls, doing stuff that rhyme with rugs, and most importantly, playing the drums and being in a crappy band, strengthening my already fanatical obsession with music. This continued into university (York), where I would most of my time in the library, listening as much music as I could get my hands on. Soon, I discovered the "campus"/community radio station, CHRY 105.5 FM, where I have volunteered since 2008. July 2009, I began hosting a regular slot every Friday night from 12am-2am.
My name is Nicholas Carella, I am currently in third semester for the radio broadcasting program at Seneca college. This program has been a lot of fun for myself so I would definitely recommend you apply for the program if you are interested in radio. I am a huge sports fan, however, hockey would have to be my favorite. During my spare time I enjoy watching movies and hanging out with some friends.
Samantha Casais was born and raised in Toronto.
She is 20 years old and has had a passion for music for as long as she could remember. When she's not focusing on school and has some time to herself she enjoys reading, writing , and singing. After her time at Seneca is up she hopes to find a job in the radio world and move her way up in the industry. Three things you didn't know about Samantha: 1. She has a passion for flying as a hobby, and will be pursuing her pilot license once she is done school, 2. Has a to do list ....Skydiving, traveling Europe and being part of a pie eating contest are a few activities on the list! 3. Is currently writing a book
They want me to write a Bio, well here goes nothing. I grew up in Toronto and spent my Teen years in Woodbridge. At the ripe old age of 19 I find myself at Seneca College studying my one true passion. Everyone knows the best jobs in the world involve Radio, so being a jock AND a producer at S@Y Radio is a pretty good bang for my buck. With me what you see it what you get, but seeing isn't exactly believing now is it? Wanna know more? Then tune in every Thursday night at six for the DJ Lucio C. show. Yup, that's it (until I get a cooler DJ name of course). Now that I'm finished plugging myself, here's a few things you should know: I love music, especially Rock. I'll listen to anything that's classic or hard rock; too bad my love of music didn't quite transfer over to my guitar playing. Movie wise, that's an easy one; Star Wars: A New Hope. One last thing, the secret to my great hair isn't Head and Shoulders.
I am a second year Radio Broadcasting student here at Seneca College. I am also a member of the S@Y Radio management team, fulfilling an important role as a program director. I have an absolute passion for music, pop culture and the entire radio industry, so it's really no surprise that broadcasting was a perfect choice for me. I am on-air every Thursday from 3pm-4pm, so make sure to tune in each week to hear some great music and entertainment.
Dillon Douglas is a polite and humble Radio Broadcasting student in his 3rd semester. His interests include video games, reading, and cheesecake. He decided to join the Radio Broadcasting program at Seneca because he feels that he can learn about many aspects of not just the radio industry but the television industry as well, along with all the intricacies of audio in general. He has a very selective taste in music. His favorite Genres are Hip hop/rap and all of their sub-genres (except Horrorcore rap, Nerdcore rap, and Juggalo rap), R&B, 70's and 80's soul music and Electronic music. He hopes that you enjoy his show as much as he enjoys being on air.
I'm 18 years old, probably the baby of S@Y radio. I'm from a small town called Aurora, that's sandwiched between Richmond Hill and New Market. I hope to achieve my goal as a voice actor for movies, commercials, and tv shows along with being an on air personality. I may look shy, but I'm anything but. I love being silly and making random noises, weird accents are my specialty. I'm a sucker for musicals and I hope to one day star in one – putting aside that I can't sing. SHOOT FOR THE STARS I'm big on reality tv shows although they can be irritating, they are my guilty pleasure. All in all, I'm a really friendly person, so don't be afraid to say hi! My name is Marley, I'm 19, and from Brampton. Once I finish up school I would want to find a career either in creative writing or sales. Some things about me are I love the movie "The Lion King" it's the best movie that was ever created. I love animals. Favourite sports are hockey and football and the best teams are the Montreal Canadians and the New England Patriots! Favourite shows are Glee, Gossip Girl and Grey's Anatomy! Hailing from Richmond Hill, Ontario. The 21 year old Ryan Henry is the resident Basketball Junkie of S@Y Radio. (A BIG DALLAS MAVERICKS FAN) He loves to talk about anything new and happening in the world of Sports as he always has an opinion. His favorite genres of music are Hip-Hop and R&B. Always blasting Ludacris, Kanye West and Outkast on his iPOD. He can listen to almost anything with a good beat and when he hits downtown most likely will be killing it on the dance floor. His passion for sports led him to Radio Broadcasting here at Seneca. Aside from that he is also a tech geek, loves video games and enjoys writing from time to time.

Eh-jhey, Ever young 21 year old Aaron Jackson has been called an old soul, he just likes to think of himself as bored most of the time. He's calm, cool and collected and (most of the time) eager to learn. His favourite passtimes are Gaming on his ps3, chilling out tuesday nights for cheap movies, and Japanese animation. His ultimate goal in life? Become a well known character voice actor on a global level.

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and not moving from the city even ONCE, might seem boring! But not for me, since i have lived here for 19 years! Of course, that doesn't count the awesome vacations i have with my family, rides in which i listen to my music including some of my favourite artists like Marianas Trench, Avenged Sevenfold, Blink-182, 30 Seconds to Mars, Aerosmith and plenty more. Out of my radio broadcasting studies i wish to get into production rather than being on-air because speaking is not my strength. Who knows! Maybe one day, those commercials you here on your favourite station, will be produced by me!
I've been addicted to sports my entire life. I wasn't good enough to play so why not do the next best thing and make a living talking about my passion.
My expertise is hockey but I'm certainly no slacker when it comes to the NFL either. Being a Toronto boy, I root for the home teams. While I wait for Canada to get an NFL team, I make my home with the Dallas Cowboys.
Holla! My name is Elysea Marcello, I'm Italian and Greek and 21 years old. I enjoy; shoes, vintage décor, the color red, watching The Breakfast Club, singing competition shows and Celebrity gossip. I intern at CHUM FM and work at Roots Canada. I have high hopes of becoming an On-Air personality with in the next couple of years. Alex is a self proclaimed master of dry sarcastic humor, a style of humor that is often misunderstood but always hilarious. Alex is an avid hockey player, Toronto Maple Leafs fan and old enough to remember when the Leafs were actually making the playoffs. Alex has a college diploma in carpentry and spent the last four years trimming new homes before the economic downturn allowed an opportunity to pursue a career in radio broadcasting.
Finn was born Philip James Martin on April 16,1992. Finn discovered his love for music at a young age, picking up his first guitar at the age of 6. Over the next twelve years continued to play and write music both alone and with his band Chasing Shadows, you recorded their first and only demo album in 2009. After the break up of the band, Finn realized that he loved hosting the shows Chasing Shadows played rather than actually playing in them. This is when Finn s dreams of becoming an On-Air radio personality.
Jake McNorton is from the small Canadian town of Pickering, nestled cozily in the green belt of Ontario. He enjoys small town hobies like fishing, hiking, zombie hunting, and shredding the knar. His intrests are fine art, contemporary jazz fusion salsa, and ofcourse braodcasting. As there were no televisions in the small town of Pickering in the 90's Jake would cuddle up with his family by a warm fire and listen to the leafs get castrated by any team they played. This is where Jake first got his love for radio and you can find him on S@Y radio to wake you up thursday mornings at 8.
Alex Mieczynski has been working in the broadcasting industry for three years now. He's also better known as the only Florida Panthers fan in the entire Greater Toronto Area. His hobbies include anything and everything to do with sports, video games, and leisure time at home. A very easy going guy that is willing to talk about anything, so if you see him around, say hello and I'm sure he'll be willing to strike up a conversation about anything.
I am a second year Radio Broadcasting student here at Seneca College, two summers ago I had enrolled in the Journalism Broadcasting programme here at Seneca. I was in this programme for one semester and at it's end I felt that radio would be an right choice for me. I have had my fair share of radio experience ranging from volunteer work at Trent Radio 92.7fm (6 years LIVE on-air) and this past summer having completed my 100 hour internship at The WOLF 101.5fm. My eventual career goal is to one day be the host/DJ of my own radio show on a Toronto radio station, although I have a long way to go.
Seneca's Very own Doctor is the lead Singer of two bands and is working on a third! My witty remarks make some nervous...and some well just repulsed. If you haven't heard of him your girlfriend probably has.. so say hi to her for me ;) I attack sharks when i smell them bleed, i don't go swimming water just wants to be around me. Not Impressed? I also taught Jackie Chan and Mr. Miyagi everything they know!....sorry is stopped listening to myself like 5 minutes ago.....write that down!
I was born in Scarborough, Ontario. I moved to Tampa Bay at the age of 6, and lived there until my senior year of HS, in which case I moved back to Canada. After HS I started working as many jobs as I could, to be able to pay for College. Music has always played an important role in my life. I'm currently working on managing musicians. I'm currently working with 1 hip hop artist, 1 rnb artists, and 2 producers. I feel that laughter is one of the best medicines, and because of this I dedicate myself into making everyone overdose on my comedy. I would love to perform standup on stage in the near future, and plan to take music and laughter to everyone I can. After graduating I plan to take my talents back to Tampa, and take my dreams to another level.
Nick Polito is in the 3rd semester of the radio broadcasting program. His interests are playing and watching hockey. He also likes to watch and play soccer. He enjoys playing video games sometimes but not all of the time. He loves a big plate of chicken wings. He hopes to one day be a play by play broadcaster for the NHL.
Graydon Ritchie was born in Ottawa in 1992 and moved to Toronto when he was 4 years old. His interest in radio began in his twelfth year in high school and has since escalated into a passion. Graydon continues to study radio at Seneca college and can be heard at 11AM only on S@Y Radio.
Sergio Key, born in Kiev, Ukraine and currently residing in Toronto, Canada's clubbing capital, has not only established himself as an emerging world class D.J. but also as a prominent radio personality. After graduating from Seneca's Business Administration program, Sergio landed a position in radio, playing a key role in establishing Toronto's Dance Music radio station, branded as Energy Radio CHOQ 105.1FM. At Energy Radio he held a position of a Brand Manager. There Sergio learned the workings of radio. He had hands-on experience creating sales packages and setting up unique promotional events. Sergio also learned how to write scripts for radio, as well as produce different elements such as live shows, live to airs, commercials, IDs, and PSAs. This is also the place where Sergio learned the fundamentals of music programming. You can catch Sinergy Soundcheck live on S@Y RADIO every Wednesday at 4 p.m.
I'm a very simple girl who likes a lot of things. I love comedy films, mystery novels/shows, and food! (Who doesn't!?) I'm a current 3rd semester radio broadcasting student who came to Canada a few years ago and decided to take radio broadcasting after watching a TV show. Being motivated by a TV program to study… ever happened to you??
Born on October 5th 1988 in Lima, Peru, moving to Canada at 4, with her parents. In elementary she was the shy, cute, nice girl. In High school she started stepping out of her shell and got a little more vocal and loud. After finishing high school she applied to an Animal Care program at Sheridan College in Brampton and completely hated it. Katty has been dancing and teaching for about 7 years and is the Co-Owner of Rhythmic Fire Danz Centre & group. She has had the opportunity to travel to Ireland, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Montreal and New York to perform and instruct. Katty's biggest accomplishment to date would have to be The CC Congress - a dance event that consist of dance workshops, showcases and social dancing in Niagara Falls. Since music is her main interest it led her to apply for the radio program at Seneca College, and so far she is enjoying her time learning how much work goes into the radio business. Alicia Van-Pedro, the 19 year old who is far from inexperienced. That sounds really good but isn't completely honest. The truth is that I'm only beginning to find my place in radio and I don't plan on leaving the business for a long time. While I get settled in you can join me Fridays at 2pm on S@y Radio.
Born in Toronto, Canada and since I was eleven, always wanted to do something within the Broadcasting Industry. Following in my father's footsteps in broadcasting, I strive to make myself to do the best. Other activities that I enjoy are Traveling, Bowling, Tennis and of course my beloved Hockey. (Toronto Maple Leafs forever!!) I also took up Karate and is a Third Degree Black Belt.
Canada and is in the third semester of the radio program. The passion that he has for radio began through his love for music and the effects that it can have on people. The one addiction that he has is going to live events and hearing different types of music, he is also a big supporter of the local music scene especially in smaller communities. When he is not focused on the radio program he enjoys simple coffee at coffee shop or a drink at local pub. When he completes the program he wants to get into promotions and productions.
